Gonstead Technique
This technique is based on specificity. Specificity in chiropractic is defined by an accurate identification of the exact location of the subluxation. It also involves designing and delivering a specific adjustment tailored to the needs of the patient at a specific joint, appropriately and successfully.
Tools used in the Gonstead Technique.
A nerve function scan used to determine a disturbance of nerve function at a specific spinal level.
Line analysis measurements on the x-rays allow the doctor to accurately determine joint position.
Multiple adjusting tables are used to isolate the subluxation with respect to its unique malposition.
